Should bankers continue to wear formal business attire or adopt a more casual business environment?

​Our bank has business casual dress every day of the week.  Of course, the employees like it, but it is less intimidating for our customers too.  The men do a good job of maintaining a professional look; some of the women push the envelope a bit though.  I try to dress up a little more to establish an example for the other women, but that hasn't been very successful.  Younger ladies at the bank are not interest in dressing like an old lady.  :)
