Who's Getting In On the 7.12% I-Bonds?

The I-Bond was definitely not on my radar. What are your thoughts about nudging CD customers to move money to the I-Bond in light of the excessive deposits banks are holding?

Every banker should check out the U.S. Treasury's offering of I-Bonds.  A good article to learn more about it can be found at https://www.depositaccounts.com/blog/inflation-treasury-series-i-savings-bonds/

After opening accounts for myself and my spouse at https://www.treasurydirect.gov/ I can see where a lot of couples will be able to invest $10,000 per SSN this calendar year and then double it in January giving them $40,000 in variable rate savings bonds yielding a rate that keeps up with CPI-U.

I am curious how many of you have this on your radar?
