Succession planning for community banks is a growing priority, according to Bank Director's recent survey on compensation and talent. Forty percent of respondents expect their CEO to leave within five years, but just 18% have a timeline, an action plan, and a candidate in mind to replace them. Another 29% have identified succession candidate(s) but don't have a timeline. Read other key findings here.
