Remarkable' Performance of Bank Stocks, CU Consolidation

U.S. bank stocks have performed remarkably well this year, with the KBW Nasdaq Bank Index up 40.4% through Dec. 4, compared to 27.6% for the S&P 500, S&P Global Market Intelligence wrote. Since the November election, the index is up 12.3%.
