[Podcast] What the 2024 Election Means for Bankers
The presidential election is less than three weeks away, and the outcome couldn't be more uncertain. Control of the House is also up in the air, while control of the Senate appears to be shifting to the GOP. Last week, I sat down with Cam Fine, former president and CEO of ICBA, and Ed Yingling, former president and CEO of ABA, for an exclusive Peer Intelligence webinar to explore the various permutations of the races and how they would impact banking policy.
We discussed the implications of a Harris victory alongside a Republican Senate, as well as a Trump win coupled with a Republican sweep of Congress. We also explored the potential new leaders of the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee, the possibility of an "October surprise," and much more.
If you missed it, you can watch a replay or listen to an edited version of the conversation on Banking with Interest.
