[Podcast] French Hill on the House Banking Agenda Ahead

As most of you are aware, the leadership of the House Financial Services Committee is at stake in the next election. If Democrats retake the House, the chair will be Rep. Maxine Waters, a previous leader of the panel. If the Republicans keep the House, there are four contenders: Reps. French Hill, Andy Barr, Bill Huizenga, and Frank Lucas.

I was thrilled to get a chance to talk with French Hill about this, and his agenda if he's picked as chair (or ranking member). We cover a range of key issues for bankers, including how his previous experience as a community bank CEO matters as a legislator. We also talk crypto, stablecoins, housing, bank consolidation, the lessons of SVB, the world after the fall of Chevron deference, and what it's been like to be in Congress during a particularly volatile period.

I hope you'll give it a listen.
