Ex-Fannie, Freddie Regulator Says Their Failure May Be "An Inevitability"

We need to dig deeper into this . I was floored, shocked, and scared. I don't know how to suggest a follow up, but not doing something would be wrong. Is there a transcript of this somewhere? I would like to put it in my files.

I've done close to 100 episodes of Banking with Interest, and in all that time, I don't think I've ever been speechless before. That changed with this week's guest, Mark Calabria, the former Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. In his extremely candid interview, he warns that a housing crisis will happen again and that Fannie and Freddie are not ready to face it. He also offers an inside take about FHFA's troubled relationship with Fannie and Freddie, and discusses why he feels FSOC won't come to the rescue ahead of the next crisis. It's a very meaty, expansive conversation, that I hope you'll give a listen to.
