I think it is more widely accepted and acknowledged than it was in the past. I think the depth and breadth of the market also helps. Regulators ask about it and probably want to know how you manage and monitor. Like FRB Discount window borrowing there's probably some stigma from the banking days of the past.

In my past, I have had zero qualms about using brokered deposits. However, given all the liquidity that was available, especially after COVID, the use was way down. Today, given the inverted yield curve, matching asset duration with liability duration is tough without using brokered CDs and the like. What are you hearing from your regulators. We are an OCC bank.
