BCP Testing of Pandemic Flu
We actually do a full scale test almost every year. The OCC suggested we address a pandemic scenario a couple years ago and we added a whole new section to our BRP. They looked for our BRP to include an action plan in table format as follows:
Action Plan
The actions to be taken in the event of a pandemic are based upon the digression of the severity of the pandemic. In a full-blown pandemic flu disaster the focus will be to operate in an environment where customer-employee interaction is limited to ensure employee safety and to provide, at minimum, basic banking services to customers. The response phases below correspond to the World Health Organizations pandemic phases, and a chart further describing each phase can be found in the Exhibits & Reports section of this plan as Exhibit 3.

Recently our regulators recommended enhancing our disaster recovery testing to a full scale simulation, specifically centered around how a pandemic flu would affect operations across the bank. This is in conjunction with our annual disaster recovery testing of system back ups and restores.
Has anyone gone through a similar full scale interruption test that included multiple departments and a majority if not all staff?
